What's next for Goldentusk?
Andrew Goldenberg, AKA "Goldentusk," has made the hit-counters at YouTube soar with his tributes to film legends "Superman," "Batman," "James Bond," "Jaws," "Back to the Future," and his latest, "Halloween," in which Goldenberg's versatile voice ranges from basso to tenor in 6-part harmony.
It marks Goldenberg's most extensive vocal challenge since his "Batman" tribute.
Goldentusk's Youtube fans beg for a transcript of his clever lyrics--but they are obliged to decipher them on their own with multiple viewings.
Goldenberg has been a member of various comedy improv and sketch troupes who make the rounds in Los Angeles. These include "The Kid's Table," "The 11th Hour," and "The Yacht Club." In addition to his performing talent, Goldenberg contributes his considerable skills as a filmmaker. He writes, directs and edits all his "Goldentusk" videos, and those for the troupes --which are posted on YouTube and also used within the live shows. These days, quite a few comedy sketch troupes use multimedia elements within their shows. At one show featuring "The 11th Hour," a scene of a scary house plus a "Halloween"-like killer was projected on a screen behind the performers, while another troupe --portraying mice-- displayed projected video footage of two large humans in the background.
Goldenberg and his colleagues have created videos lampooning "The Passion of the Christ," and "Spiderman 3" as well as lampooning Ron Popiel items with "Magic Finger." He also participated in a Heinz Top This Challenge entry.
Goldenberg's skills as a filmmaker ought to do well in entries. His fans think he ought to write and act in musical theater.
But most of all, his fans just want more, more and even MORE. So what will Goldentusk do next?
UPDATE: Goldentusk indeed came through two weeks ago with his tribute to Indiana Jones, the seventh in his series of film-tributes. See below for embedded video of all seven of Goldentusk's film tributes, plus his 2006 commercial for Dr Pepper.
